"Gay Luigi?"
~Weegee as he moves around the map in Five Nights at Pingas 2
Weegee is a secondary antagonist of Five Nights at Pingas 2, a main protagonist and playable character in Five Nights at Pingas 5, and a minor protagonist in Five Nights at Pingas 6. Weegee is heavily based on Luigi from the Super Mario series of games, and he is one of Robotnik's many partners in crime who helps him in not all but some of the games.
Appearance[]
Weegee's basic design is of a re-drawn sprite of Luigi from the MS-DOS version of the educational video game, "Mario is Missing!" Which featured a sprite of Luigi with a very unnerving and gazing stare...
However, in Five Nights at Pingas 2, Weegee's first appearance, he is wearing a different outfit. Since he is one of the prisoners of the M.E.M.E. Prison, he is sporting a prison jumpsuit wearing black and yellow striped overalls.
Biography[]
Five Nights at Pingas 2
Weegee is an enemy in Five Nights at Pingas 2, and he is one of the many prisoners coming for the low-paid guard working for at the prison. Weegee first becomes active on Night 2 alongside Hitler and appears in every night afterwards (excluding Gentlemen Night). Weegee does not stand still on the camera like characters like Robotnik and Sanic, but rather he slowly moves constantly on the camera moving from room-to-room, but it is never clear what camera he starts out on. As he moves around, every now and then, you will hear Weegee saying "Gay Luigi?" In order to get rid of Weegee, you have to click on him, this will make Weegee disappear and move back to a different camera. If the player fails to click on Weegee, Weegee can break into the Office, he cannot be stopped by the laser gate, but he will not kill the player. He is actually more reminiscent of Balloon Boy from the FNaF series as he will steal the laser gate, allowing other enemies like Robotnik and Sanic to get in.
Nothing is ever explained as to where Weegee goes after the events of this game, but it is assumed that he escapes after the game is over, and he must've died at some point because he needs to be freed from Hell in the fifth game.
Five Nights at Pingas 5
Weegee returns as the fourth playable character in Five Nights at Pingas 5, and he is tasked with defending the F.B.I.'s underwear against Peppy Hare and his army of Pingas Robots.
In Weegee's campaign, you control Weegee, and Weegee has retained his powers he had in the original "Mario is Missing!" game as a way to defeat the Pingas Robots. Weegee can jump extremely high and can even jump to the top of the screen, and he can jump on top of enemies' heads, which can immediately kill them. He can jump on all enemies excluding Weegee-Bots, and killing each enemy will result in them getting turned into some sort of a historical artifact(using the term "artifact" very loosely here). There are a few different artifacts that they can turn into, this includes the following four:
- The Eiffel Tower
- A Pyramid
- King Kong
- 9/11
Although Weegee himself appears in the game as a playable character, Weegee also has an enemy variant of himself that was created by Peppy Hare and Shrek to attack the F.B.I. These enemies being the happily-named "Weegee-Bots". Weegee-Bots are the smallest enemies, but are the hardest to deal with. They're design consists of a small red stick figure-esque body, their bottom half essentially being a mop, having gardening gloves for hands, a hockey mask for a face with pitch black eyes, and of course, a giant green hat. Weegee-Bots are essentially tiny bomb robots, as their only attack on the F.B.I. Tower is that they explode on contact, taking a lot of damage off the tower. Weegee-Bots cannot be killed by any of the playable characters mechanics, and if literally any of the playable characters even touches a Weegee-Bot, they will explode on contact, dying. The only two ways to defeat the Weegee-Bots are by blocking the roads with the roadblocks and firing nuclear cancer missiles at them.
Defend the F.B.I. for five nights at Weegee, he is then freed from Hell and given a cell in a maximum security prison within the F.B.I., and you unlock "Weegee's Nightmare".
In Weegee's Nightmare, you play as Weegee, and you must tread through a randomized map of areas, each area is different, they could either be a location in the prison, or some psychedelic and strangely colorful backgrounds. In this nightmare, you must go through all of these different areas and look for six keys, each of these keys are in the same area each time you play through the game. However, it's not going to be an easy task, this is a nightmare after all! Sometimes when you move to a different room, there will be a demonic head of Mario that will chase after you that emits Golden Freddy's growl. If you touch this evil Mario, you lose, but it is easy to get away from it, all you have to do is go back to the previous room you were in and come back, and he should be gone. Collect all six keys in order to escape the nightmare.
Weegee appears in the Prison Escape mini-game, where he is saved by Dr. Robotnik and successfully escapes from the F.B.I., where he then goes into hiding.
Five Nights at Pingas 6
Weegee once again returns in Umthondo Khota's campaign in Five Nights at Pingas 6, he is the second of the loved ones of Mexican Satan and Holy Lord Gabe that Umthondo Khota must retrieve through the Meme Verse. The entire second segment focuses on Umthondo Khota trying to get to Weegee's house, and once Umthondo Khota reaches Weegee, he agrees to come with him to stop Mexican Satan and Holy Lord Gabe from rekking each other.
Weegee does not reappear until the fourth Meme Verse segment, where his head is seen following behind Umthondo Khota, Yoda, and Doge, and after completeing the level, Weegee, along with Umthondo Khota, Doge, and Yoda, go up to Heaven and begin praying for them, with Weegee only praying for Mexican Satan and not Holy Lord Gabe.
Mexican Satan then calls Weegee along with Doge fucking pussies for trying to stop him from killing Lord Gabe. It is unknown as to what happened to Weegee after the events of Five Nights at Pingas 6.
Jumpscare[]
As stated, Weegee does not kill the player since he is more of a Balloon Boy clone, therefore he doesn't have much of an actual jumpscare. But when Weegee does reach the office, he becomes fat(the image of Fat Luigi being from Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story), and as he steals the laser gate, he will play a song, this song better known as "The Idiot Song".
Trivia[]
- When Weegee breaks into the Office in FNaP2, he can completely disable to door power.
- Weegee's way of stealing the laser gate in FNaP2 is oddly reminiscent of Balloon Boy from Five Nights at Pingas 2.
- The reason that when Weegee stomps on enemies in FNaP5 they turn into artifacts is a reference to Weegee's original appearance in "Mario is Missing!" where when he stomped on Koopas they could drop bags with stolen artifacts in them.
- King Kong is one of the artifacts that Weegee drops is because that was one of the artifacts found in the original "Mario is Missing!", yes somehow the Koopas stole King Kong and he needed to be returned to the Empire State Building. This is of course incredibly stupid, which is why it was included to be funny in the game, and it was also made fun of the Angry Video Game Nerd.
- Weegee has a big pimple on his nose.
